Our 4D plates are made with laser-cut acrylic characters bonded to a solid plate base using high-strength 3M adhesive. The acrylic is resistant to weathering, UV exposure, and road vibration — it won't peel, fade, or delaminate under normal conditions. That's why we back every plate with a three-year warranty. 3mm 4D Plates
The 3mm option is our most popular. The raised characters are clearly visible and give a noticeably sharper finish than printed or gel plates, but the profile stays clean and understated. Are 4D Number Plates Legal in the UK?
Yes, 4D number plates are legal in the UK when they are made to the correct DVLA requirements. The plate must remain clear, readable and compliant, with characters shown in the correct size, spacing and font. The characters must be a single shade of black on the correct reflective background — white at the front and yellow at the rear.
For plates fitted after 1 September 2021, the plate must display the correct BS AU 145e marking, along with the supplier details required by law. GOV.UK confirms that number plates can have raised 3D or 4D characters, as long as the plate still meets the legal display requirements.

How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery is free tracked Royal Mail 48-hour. You can upgrade to tracked 24-hour for £5 at checkout. Orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day. If you're local to Hounslow, same-day collection is available — plates are typically ready within the hour.
What documents do I need to order?
By law, all number plate suppliers must verify your identity and entitlement to the registration before supplying plates. You'll need proof of identity and proof of entitlement — typically your V5C logbook, a new keeper supplement, or a certificate of entitlement for a personalised registration.
