The green flash is a strip on the left-hand side of the plate that identifies a vehicle as zero-emission. It is optional, not compulsory, so you can choose to add it or order a standard plate for your EV.
The green flash can only be legally displayed on pure electric or hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. It is not permitted on hybrids or plug-in hybrids, even if they can drive short distances on electric power alone.
No, adding the green flash does not add to the cost of your plate.
Yes, the green flash can be combined with any of our 3D, 4D or gel character styles.
Yes. DVLA requires all original ID and entitlement documents to be verified in person by the manufacturer before number plates can legally be produced. After ordering, we will email you instructions on how to send your documents to us.
Yes, all PlateBoss plates come with a 3-year warranty covering tunnelling, de-lamination, and fading. Drilling into your plates voids the warranty, so we only recommend using our fixing pads.
Plates are dispatched the same day if your order is placed before 2pm and we have received your documents else within 24 hours of us receiving your ID and entitlement documents, with free Royal Mail Tracked 48 signed-for delivery included as standard. If you need your plates quickly you can upgrade to 24hr tracked delivery at checkout. Same-day collection from our Hounslow store is also available at checkout.
Yes, select the Collect from store option at checkout. Once we have received your order we will contact you to arrange a time to bring your documents in and collect your plates.
