If you’re towing a trailer over 750kg abroad in Europe, DVLA requires a separate, uniquely registered Trailer Registration Number (TRN) plate instead.
Non-Commercial Trailer Plates (Same Reg as Your Car)

If your trailer weighs over 750kg and you’re towing it to most of Europe, DVLA requires it to display its own unique Trailer Registration Number.
